Excursions
The group travels together by coach from the orientation session at Choate Rosemary Hall to the airport in New York and from there to France on a regularly scheduled flight. Arriving in Paris, the group is transferred by motor coach to the Loire Valley for a three-day introductory program at a French country inn, where there is time to relax at poolside as well as study. At the start of the first full week, the group transfers back to Paris to meet their French families.
In Paris, weekday afternoons are devoted to exploring the historic and artistic treasures of Paris as an extension of the morning art history class.
On weekends, students are taken to nearby points of interest, such as the Palace of Versailles, pictured above.
